I love Jerk Veggies. This recipe produces tender, juicy and flavorful jerk grilled portobello mushrooms, that could be served right away, or kept in the fridge for up to two days.
For this Jerk Grilled Portobello Mushrooms Recipe you’ll need :
1. 12oz = 5 Portobello mushrooms
2. 1/2 cup Tricnic Jerk Marinade
You first cut off the stems. Reserve to use in another recipe or discard.
Using a damp paper towel clean the mushrooms from the dirt and debris. You can slightly rinse the mushrooms, very quickly with cold water. Then carefully dry them. Please don’t soak them in water for a long time. They can easily soak a lot of water and won’t cook well, will stay soggy and won’t brown properly.
Marinate the mushrooms in Tricnic Jerk Marinade.
Grill the prepared portobello mushrooms on a cleaned, oiled and preheated grill (to 450 F) for 5-7 minutes per side, until they are fully cooked. You can’t overcook mushrooms that easily, but keep and close eye on them. enjoy!
